People and Management 

Smith Equipment is led by a management team of Graeme and Chris Smith and employs a broad range of specialists in heavy earthmoving equipment ranging from highly experienced fitters to a new and used parts sales team.  Over 20 years of experience in heavy earthmoving equipment enables a broad base of knowledge that makes the difference in the quality of advice we can provide.

Location

Smith Equipment is located at Dandenong, 40km south east of the Melbourne CBD.  It is located adjacent to the Eastlink toll way providing fast and efficient transport access.

Infrastructure

The Smith Equipment facility is located on 5 acres and comprises two large warehouses together with machinery display and storage of dismantled machine bodies. 

Warehouse A contains new and used parts sales and high density storage of all these parts.  Dedicated machinery repair and dismantling bays are complemented by a machine wash bay (supplied by rainwater storage tanks). A new hydraulic cylinder repair area has recently been added with a torque capacity of 50,000ft lbs for heavy duty cylinders.

Warehouse B contains offices and board room plus large parts storage. In addition a clean room has been constructed to provide state-of-the-art fuel pump refurbishment and repairs.

One of the hallmarks of the Smith Equipment business throughout its history has been its commitment to its machine and parts warranty. All new and used parts are supplied with a money back warranty.
